I can’t thank you enough for an amazing evening. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed your band – but I knew they would!! You worked the crowd perfectly I loved the end when you got everyone in a circle, every single person young and old loved it.

When you came onto the stage I heard the gasps of “wow”…. you all looked so professional in your blue suits (and your white suit too!) and the girls were stunning. I tried few times to get to see you but en route I was diverted by guests…. it was the biggest event of Tony’s year and I had no doubt we would rock the golf course! !

Clarita De Quiroz is an artist signed by Sony, has been nominated for and received several awards. She has several of her own original songs, one of those below and she performs some fantastic covers live at private and corporate events. She is at ease on stage performing to an adoring audience of thousands as she did with Elton John plus many other or performing an intimate set to a small group of people solo or as part of a band. Behold The Locus is a collective of Dubai based musicians-a ‘revolving door’ if you will where Members don’t quit-they exit to make way for someone else to share the Locus experience!

Locus (Latin for Place) is an indirect tribute to Dubai where the band members have spent many a year working day jobs and confronting their alter ego(s) at night.

Behold The Locus started with guitarist and songwriter Fabian Martin playing solo at the Central Perk Acoustic jams organized by Dubai Lime, with the progress of the Original Music scene Venues got bigger and the need to form a band started….

The line-up has changed several times since its inception in 2006 and the current line-up includes Fabian Martin (Guitar/Song writer) Alistair Terry (Bass Guitar) Carl Semine (Vocals) and Ramzi Sassi (Drums)

The band does not subscribe to a particular genre and label themselves ‘Musique sans Frontieres’

Band Members

Fabian was introduced to The Beatles as a kid and formed his first band at the age of 13 playing Punk versions of classic Beatles tunes; he started Behold The Locus as a solo project in 2006 after many failed attempts to form a Band in Dubai. Fabian collects Retro Guitars and boasts of a Fender Jaguar, Gretsch Electromatic, Squier Duo Sonic and an Epiphone Korina Flying V.

Alistair’s musical journey began when he picked up the guitar at the age of 15. His influence includes Jaco Pastorius, Sting, Billy Sheehan and Abraham Laboriel and prefers playing a five- string over a four-string bass. He has a great sense of Humor and admits to once waiting an hour for a taxi forgetting that he bought a car the week before.

Carl is the youngest in the band and a force to be reckoned with, when he’s not singing he’s doing sports, when he’s not doing sports he’s playing guitar. He is just as comfortable crooning Bruno Mars as he is growling to As I Lay dying.

Fresh from Tunisia, Ramzi moved to Dubai and almost instantly landed an audition with Behold The Locus through a mutual friend of the band, his fluency in French, Arabic and English translates into a blitzkrieg assault on the drums, and we feel for the instrument.

Originally titled ‘Help Me’ the music was recorded in August 2011 by Dylan Ellis at Bronze Tone Recordings, the voice over was recorded in Chinese and Russian with the latter being chosen. Lead Vocals were finalized in April 2012 and the song was renamed ‘Shepherd’

The Band Footage was shot at Dubai Festival City on May 5th 2012 and directed by Free Lancer Franzwa Roux, Music and Camera equipped was loaded into cars and set up in the Silk underground parking. The video was shot between the hours of 3am – 7am.

Singing Waiters.

The Singing Waiters are certainly the most sought after and exciting entertainment for any party or event. Acoustic Bands and Entertainment.

Sometimes you don’t want a full scale party band yet you want to set the mood and create a nice ambiance for the evening. There is no better way to do this than with some live acoustic bands performing laid back relaxing music, particularly early in the early evening. As the evening progresses the performers will raise the tempo as required. They will mix and mingle or just stay in one desired location or on stage.

This type of entertainment can be lighter on your budget than a full scale band bringing a full band with five or six musicians, sound system, lighting system etc. It can release some of your budget for other areas like other mix and mingle walkabout entertainers, although we never recommend cutting back on the entertainment as this is the life and soul of any party. Nobody remembers the food or the decor. The entertainment will be remembered as they set the mood for the evening and enhance your guests memories.

We have acoustic performers that will work as a duo on guitars or even pianos, duelling pianos to be precise, as seen in Las Vegas many times. Hear the hits from a two piece acoustic band performing The Eagles, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, Crash Test Dummies, Bryan Adams, Extreme, Hozier, Rod Stewart, Prince, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, The Beatles and many more.
