Clarita De Quiroz is an artist signed by Sony, has been nominated for and received several awards. She has several of her own original songs, one of those below and she performs some fantastic covers live at private and corporate events. She is at ease on stage performing to an adoring audience of thousands as she did with Elton John plus many other or performing an intimate set to a small group of people solo or as part of a band. Clarita is one of the most versatile artists you will find in the Dubai entertainment scene today.
Like any artist worth their salt, Clarita’s music is the result of many things. Raised in Scotland to Filipino/Spanish and Dutch/Irish parents, as a child of the 80’s, it’s no wonder that her music sounds the way it does. Influenced by everyone from Nina Simone and Al Green to The Roots, Angie Stone and Jill Scott. Pinpointing the beginning of her musical career as a child she vividly remembers being mysteriously drawn from her bed to play the piano in her living room from the tender age of four.

Clarita de Quiroz has been a successful international commercial and beauty model since 2008 as well as a musician. She has appeared in the ‘City of Life’ movie in the UAE featuring Jaaved Jaafri and Jason Flemyng and Dubai Global Tourism Commercials.
Clarita de Quiroz has been the face of Crafft AC Commercials UAE, Guerlain makeup UAE, Ultimo Lingerie, MAC cosmetic makeup UAE, Men’s Fitness Magazine, became the face of Val Saint Lambert Belgium crystal in October 2009.
Clarita de Quiroz was chosen by Sir Elton John’s management to be his support artist for the UAE Performance. In March 2012 Clarita was also awarded ‘Best Singer of the UAE 2012’ by GR8! TV and Magazine awards; a prestigious award running for more than 11 years.
In February 2011 Clarita de Quiroz was privileged to have been awarded the accolade as being one of Ahlan Hot 100 2011, where she performed live on stage entertaining the guests with a mix of her own composed music and a selection of chart topping covers. During this performance, Clarita had a very special guest that joined her on stage as lead vocalist, this special guest was Sheila Ferguson, previously from the band 3 Degrees. Clarita de Quiroz is about to embark on a collaboration with a number of international producers to launch her “Full Album”.
“As a musician, I am constantly looking for inspiration through life, friends, experience and other music to help my discovery of my craft. I want to take the colours from all around me in all shapes and forms and transform this into musical composition. Like life, my music will evolve with me; I am constantly exploring for new treasures and experience which will shape my life, as well as my music. In the process of this musical voyage, I wish to touch people in a way that my music resonates through their souls, and reach levels bigger than the eye can see. Escapism, reconnection, emancipation, discovery and all other feelings should come through all of us with everything we love and are passionate about. It’s great to listen to music, but to FEEL it, is what I am talking about. Where words end, music speaks. And I thank you, and you all know who you are, for helping me shape my life this way and making become the woman I am today, tomorrow and for the rest of my years”
Sometimes you don’t want a full scale party band yet you want to set the mood and create a nice ambiance for the evening. There is no better way to do this than with some live acoustic bands performing laid back relaxing music, particularly early in the early evening. As the evening progresses the performers will raise the tempo as required. They will mix and mingle or just stay in one desired location or on stage.
This type of entertainment can be lighter on your budget than a full scale band bringing a full band with five or six musicians, sound system, lighting system etc. It can release some of your budget for other areas like other mix and mingle walkabout entertainers, although we never recommend cutting back on the entertainment as this is the life and soul of any party. Nobody remembers the food or the decor. The entertainment will be remembered as they set the mood for the evening and enhance your guests memories.
We have acoustic performers that will work as a duo on guitars or even pianos, duelling pianos to be precise, as seen in Las Vegas many times. Hear the hits from a two piece acoustic band performing The Eagles, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, Crash Test Dummies, Bryan Adams, Extreme, Hozier, Rod Stewart, Prince, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, The Beatles and many more. Later in the evening the tempo is raised with sing a long hits and a finale to leave everyone singing a hit like Hey Jude or Day We Caught The Train.
In the right environment and the correct setting, there is no better entertainment. It works in a rustic setting, on the beach or in a cozy room with attitude. It is possible to have this type of entertainment in a hotel ball room with sound system, it works but this is where we recommend using sound system, lighting and a full scale party band similar to Bogus Brothers, Dov Amiel Orchestra or MapleJacks.

Jazz Duo:
Dubai Party Bands work with a variety of Jazz bands, musicians, bands and entertainers. All the entertainers we work with are professional and flexible. They can work as a 2 piece act or as part of an orchestra demonstrating their professionalism and abilities. They regularly work together in bigger formations ensuring an entertaining act for every occasion however for those on a budget this can be the perfect drinks entertainment.
Jazz Trio:
Add a little vocal or maybe a sax and enhance your Jazz entertainment. All Jazz musicians on our roster play in regular shows and at events on a weekly basis therefore they can add to their offering making it some of the best reception or dinner entertainment. Great Jazz Bands are hard to come across but when you find one, be sure to book them for a party.
Jazz Quartet:
We recommend a minimum of 4 for some good Jazz Band entertainment however we do understand that sometimes the budget just doesn’t stretch that far. We don’t go through lists of Jazz Bands and entertainers, we work to ensure you get the most customised solution for your event. We have bands and musicians capable of offering formations to suit every occasion from duos, trios, quartets, quintets and up to orchestras so do not hesitate to drop us a line with any Jazz Band queries.
Jazz Orchestra
When it comes to Jazz, the more players the better in our opinion. If you’d like the Duke Ellington Orchestra to perform then we can bring them to your event. They are some of the finest Jazz musicians you will come across however this could enhance your budget dramatically with flights, hotels, local transport etc.
Some local musicians may not be part of the Duke Ellington Orchestra but you will certainly find some fantastic talent in the region and they will guarantee to entertain your guests. An 8 or 9 piece Jazz Orchestra always looks great and gives the entertainers flexibility to perform all types of Jazz music.
Paddymn, a full time entertainer (from Ireland) based in Dubai, UAE. Paddyman performs a mix of high energy music (vocals, guitar & harmonica) and comedy (jokes, stories and funny songs). He has shared the same stage as other notable Irish acts such as The Saw Doctors, Sharon Corr and Sharron Shannon.
The name PADDYMAN came about as a result of wanting to perform some funny jokes / stories and songs as part of his act. He wanted to visually differentiate this from the singalong / Irish & high energy dance songs he performs. Paddyman was also conscious of ways he could reduce the risk of possibly unintentionally offending people in the audience (esp. in UAE) with some of the songs. Therefore, he started wearing a leprechaun hat & beard for these parts of the act. This immediately became very popular as people could clearly see that he was about to perform some funny material and they listened! The original (and some cover) comedy jokes and parodies that he has performed have since become his trademark and Paddyman continues to grow that part of the show.
He performs weekly at the largest bar in the Middle East (Barasti), the #1 Real Irish Bar (Fibber Magees) and #1 Irish Bar in Abu Dhabi (PJ O’Reilly’s). Besides these he regularly performs for weddings, corporate events, private parties, festivals & in Irish bars all over the world, (From Hong Kong & Bahrain to Ireland & Canada)

A story from Paddyman.
I’m often asked how I ended up in Dubai, playing funny songs and Irish music in bars and at weddings etc. Here’s my story in brief:
I started playing guitar when I was about 15, inspired by my father’s love of music and his accordion playing. After about 6 months of practicing at home, Dad came home one night and announced that we had our first gig in the local pub – The BELLYARD in Monasterevin, Co Kildare – as the group that was supposed to play had cancelled! On the night we turned up in matching shirts and set up some speakers he’d rented.
I played very basic chords on the keyboard & guitar and my Dad did all the singing, accordion playing and entertaining out front. It wasn’t long before the pub started to empty! After about an hour, the only people who stayed in the place were the local travellers because they knew they wouldn’t be served anywhere else.
Despite this, there was one drunk fella who stood up to leave and loundly announced to the bar “These are the worst piece of shite band that I’ve heard in all me jaysus life!” My Dad just laughed it off and winked at me as if this was normal behaviour to be learned from. He later said “When something like that happens you have to remember – Don’t Stop Playing No Matter What Happens! Even if the tinker started a fight you just keep going.”
Undeterred by the lack of appreciation for our craft, he then orgainised a regular gig in the HARP BAR in Kildare town. This one was just a sit down, unplugged session beside the open fire. He said the reason we’d been booed in Monasterevin was because of the equipment, so we’d better build up a bit of confidence playing without mikes first before we re-launch the act. And so we did! I sang my first song (Sonny Don’t Go Away) with my Grandad & Dad beside the fire as the ladies in the pub threatened to punch anyone who kept talking while the young lad had a go. I’ve been playing ever since!
One of the songs I learned around then (nearly 20 yrs ago!) was the great song by Shane McGowan of the Pogues – Fairytale of New York see link below for a performance of this on MBC plus several other videos.
Since then I have had the pleasure of playing music all around the world including North America (I was based in Canada for 6 years), Europe (Ireland, France, Italy), Asia (UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Hong Kong etc). These gigs vary from small intimate gigs for a few kids in the desert (or at fibbers for Xmas) to larger gigs for thousands of people Festivals or alongside well known Irish performers like the Saw Doctors, Sharon Corr, The Commitments, The Wolfe Tones, Aslan, Damien Dempsey, Ardal O’Hanlon (comedian), Sharon Shannon etc. Music is a great gift and I hope to continue singing, joking and playing music for many years to come!
